WILKINSON COUNTY, MS (July 18, 2025) – A Memphis man was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 24 early Friday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m. in Wilkinson County. Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
Justin Green, 49, of Woodville, Mississippi, was driving a 2015 Ram pickup truck eastbound on Highway 24 when it collided with a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by James Mathena, 78, of Memphis, Tennessee, who was traveling westbound.
Mathena sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations continue.
