HINDS COUNTY, MS (April 10, 2025) — Two 18-wheelers collided, killing one driver on Tuesday, April 8.
The crash occurred Interstate on I-55 North near the 83-mile marker around 11:00 a.m.\
A 1999 Peterbilt was traveling northbound when it collided with a 2023 International MV60 that was also traveling northbound on I-55. The International MV60 driver’s injuries were fatal. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. The Peterbilt driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
